Ukrainian athlete Oleksandr Kazik won silver in the 20-kilometer cross-country race for people with visual impairments at the Paralympic Games in Milan, and it was Ukraine’s last medal at these competitions.
This year’s Paralympic Games, Ukraine ranked seventh with 19 medals – 16 in parabiathlon and 3 in cross-country skiing: three gold, eight silver, and eight bronze each. The first three places are behind China, the USA, and the Russian Federation. However, Ukraine is third in total medal count.
