Ukrzaliznytsia presented American actor and director Sean Penn with an Oscar made from the steel of a train carriage damaged by a Russian attack.
Ukrzaliznytsia expressed gratitude to the actor for his support of Ukraine and noted that this is very important for the country and its people.
As reported, the 98th Academy Awards ceremony of the US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences took place on March 15 in Los Angeles. Sean Penn received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in the film “One Battle After Another”. The media reported that the actor missed the awards ceremony to visit Ukraine.
On March 16, Ukrzaliznytsia announced Penn’s arrival in Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the actor.
