Ukraine and Britain to sign military partnership on drones and AI

UK extends duty-free trade with Ukraine until 2029

Ukraine and the UK are preparing to sign a new defense cooperation agreement, focusing in particular on countering drones and developing artificial intelligence. This was announced by the UK government.

The agreement provides for joint work on countering drones and the development of new military technologies. Ukraine will share combat experience, and Britain will share production capabilities.

They plan to develop and produce drones, in particular interceptor drones. The countries also want to expand cooperation with other states to more quickly introduce new defense technologies.

Separately, the UK is investing about $667,000 to create a Center of Excellence in AI, which will operate under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to more accurately identify targets and coordinate actions.

This partnership also enables long-term cooperation among defense companies, with plans for joint production, research, and development.
