The war drama The Exchange, directed by Volodymyr Kharchenko-Kulikovsky, will soon be released in Japan, the press service of the Ukrainian State Film Agency reports.
The premiere is scheduled for March 29, and the film, based on real events, tells the story of Kyiv surgeon Oleksandr, who received a call at night from an unknown person informing him that his son, a volunteer in the Ukrainian army, was captured by a local separatist. To free his son, the father has to go to the contact line and bring a specified amount of money, but the exchange leads to unexpected events.
