French investment company NJJ Capital has agreed to buy Lifecell for $500 million. Xavier Niel, the French billionaire who owns NJJ Capital, said that the deal was “sufficient” and even small compared to the profit of the Ukrainian telecom operator Lifecell.
NJJ Capital will gain control of Lifecell, including the call center network and mobile communications infrastructure, as part of the deal. The deal is pending regulators’ approval, including the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
