A teaser for the Ukrainian mystical thriller “THE TOWER” was presented at the Berlin International Film Festival as part of the European Film Market.
For the film, which became the feature-length directorial debut of actress and TV presenter Dasha Tregubova, this is the first major international step.
According to her, work on the project lasted five years.
The events unfold in a war-torn children’s shelter. Journalist Marta (played by Darya Tvoronovich) arrives to record the consequences of a war crime – the disappearance of dozens of children who were taken away by the Russian military during the occupation. But she herself finds herself trapped among the ruins, where she is pursued by a mysterious man in a balaclava.
The premiere in Ukraine is scheduled for autumn 2026.
