Ukrainian track and field athlete Oleh Doroshchuk won the men’s high jump at the indoor world championships.
The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reports that Oleh became the only athlete in the sector to clear the first four heights (2.17 m, 2.22 m, 2.26 m, and 2.30 m) on the first attempt.

For the athlete, this was the third performance at the world indoor championships: in 2024, he took fourth place, and in 2025, fifth.
For Ukraine, this is the first medal in the men’s high jump at the world indoor championships in the last 12 years (since Andriy Protsenko’s “silver” in 2014). This award also became the 11th gold for Ukraine in the history of performances at these competitions.
