British boxer Anthony Joshua visited Ukraine — he came to Kyiv at the invitation of world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Usyk personally met his former rival, and now a guest, and gave him a short tour of the capital. The athletes visited iconic locations in Kyiv and became acquainted with Ukrainian culture and cuisine.
The main purpose of Joshua’s visit was to participate in the Rising Stars boxing tournament, organized by the Ukrainian champion’s promotional company to support young athletes and advance the development of professional boxing in Ukraine.
In addition to public events, the boxers also held a joint training session. This is Joshua’s first trip to Ukraine, especially during a full-scale war.
