NATO delegation arrives in Ukraine for the first time since the start of a full-scale war

On March 22, a delegation led by Admiral Pierre Vandieu, NATO Supreme Allied Commander for Transformation, visited Ukraine.

Deputy Chief of Staff Pavlo Palisa emphasized that this was the first time since the start of a full-scale war that a NATO military command of this level had visited Ukraine.

The parties spoke substantively about the involvement of Ukrainian military personnel in future NATO exercises as a hypothetical enemy (Red Team). Palisa noted that last year’s experience of our units’ participation showed the allies the latest methods of warfare – in training scenarios, Ukrainian teams demonstrated a significant advantage.

Separately, they talked about the future of JATEC (Joint NATO-Ukraine Center).
