According to data from the analytical platform YouControl, Ukrainian cinemas achieved total revenue of UAH 4.1 billion in 2025, a 20% increase from 2024. As of April 2026, the register lists 278 legal entities, primarily engaged in film exhibition, including 60 municipal enterprises, 1 charitable organization, and 13 branches.
Nearly 24% of companies are registered in Kyiv, with a significant portion also based in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Lviv regions. Forty-two entities are connected to 30 corporate groups, including the “Sokolov Family Group,” represented by seven companies. Data on offer conditions reveal details about the main cinema network operators, such as “Cinema Team,” with revenue of UAH 1.2 billion, and PJSC “Multiplex Holding,” with revenue of UAH 880.4 million.
Among the top-grossing operators are LLC “Multiplex-Cherkasy,” LLC “Triumph Media Group,” LLC “Blockbuster Cinema,” LLC “Nova Kinostolytsia, and others. These belong to corporate groups like “Dairy Alliance” and the “Sokolov Family Group.” A few companies have foreign investors from Cyprus, the United Kingdom, the USA, the UAE, Europe, and Russia.
The ownership structures of 18 companies show the presence of foreign participants, including beneficiaries of sanctioned groups.
