Ukraine to be represented by 46 athletes in 11 sports at the Winter Olympics

The International Olympic Committee has determined where the Winter Olympics will be held in 2030 and 2034

On Friday, February 6, the official opening ceremony of the XXV Winter Olympic Games-2026 will be held at the San Siro stadium in Milan. Ukraine will be represented by 46 athletes in 11 sports at the Olympics, which will last in the arenas of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo until February 22.

It is noteworthy that in 1994-2022, the national team of independent Ukraine won a total of 9 medals at the “white” Olympics – 3 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze. Ukrainian athletes climbed the podium in biathlon, freestyle (ski acrobatics), and figure skating.

Let us recall that at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, the Ukrainian team won only one medal, silver, which was won by the Olympic champion of the 2018 Games in PyeongChang, freestyler Oleksandr Abramenko.
