Kyiv and Warsaw are moving to a new stage of military-technical cooperation. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a meeting with his Polish counterpart, Donald Tusk, signed a declaration on joint weapons production. The parties plan to focus on the production of attack drones and other types of modern weapons. According to the Office of the President, the cooperation will also cover digital technologies and the development of combat robotics.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed in his address that the cooperation will extend to various types of weapons. The countries will create a single technological space for the development of unmanned systems.
The implementation of these plans will allow Ukraine to obtain a stable source of supply of critically essential weapons. Poland, in turn, will strengthen its own industry thanks to Ukrainian combat experience. It is expected that the first samples of jointly produced equipment will appear in the near future.
