Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that the Nobel Peace Prize is deserved by Ukrainians who give their lives for peace.
“Of course, I appreciate it, and I am grateful that people are watching our country, that they appreciate our courage and resilience, but there are many people nominated for this prize. Today I looked at the Ukrainian prisoners who returned home from Russia, and these are people who deserve the Nobel Peace Prize,” the president said.
Sandu added that these people make real sacrifices for peace and security in the region, and they are worthy of the award.
