Transcarpathian cider wins three awards in London

Transcarpathian natural cider producer Monbar won three awards at the World Cider Awards 2025 international competition in London.

The highest award went to Monbar Rosé cider made from red-soft apples. The cider is made by direct pressing of juice and natural fermentation – without adding sugar or alcohol. It won a gold award and the title of Style Winner in its category.

Two more drinks from the brand were also recognized by the jury. Apple-Apricot cider won silver, and Apple-Cherry cider won bronze. This was the Ukrainian brand’s first appearance at the World Cider Awards. In the competition, Monbar competed with producers from Austria, France, Great Britain, Spain, Canada, and other countries. The winners were determined based on the results of a blind tasting.

The founder of the brand, Yana Matviychuk, represented the only participant from Ukraine at the competition. She added that last year Ukraine was represented for the first time at the World Cider Awards competition in London.
