Six-year-old trainee of the gymnastics department of the comprehensive children’s and youth sports school No. 1 from the Lviv region, Regina Abramova, set not only a national but also a world record, performing 223 lifts with a coup on the horizontal bar.
The young athlete surpassed the achievements of the previous record holder, Nicole Knyazeva, who in 2017 at the age of seven performed 80 lifts with a coup, according to the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
For Regina, this is the fourth record in her sports career. At the age of five, she set three national achievements. She also became the youngest child to climb Hoverla independently, overcoming the entire route without outside help in 2 hours and 29 minutes.
