World Bank plans to invest in Ukrainian insurance companies

Every third Ukrainian lives in poverty - World Bank

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, will invest in the capital of Ukrainian insurance companies. This was announced by Andriy Pyshny, Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, following a meeting with the World Bank leadership.

According to him, the non-banking sector, particularly the insurance sector, has undergone a radical qualitative renewal and may now attract foreign investors.

From February 2022 to August 31, 2025, the World Bank Group mobilized more than $81 billion in financial support for Ukraine, the vast majority of which was attracted on behalf of donors and partners.
