Shooter Serhiy Kulish wins silver at the 2024 Olympics

Ukrainian shooter Serhiy Kulish won a silver medal at the 2024 Olympic Games. He competed in the 50-meter rifle event.

This was reported by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

In total, the Ukrainian athlete earned 461.3 points. Liu Yukong of China won the gold medal, and Swapnil Kusale of India won the bronze medal.

This is not Kulish’s first medal. In 2016, he took second place at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Kulish became the first Ukrainian shooter to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in shooting. In the qualifying rounds, he showed the third best result, with 199 out of 200 points in the kneeling and standing positions.

This was Kulish’s second time competing in the final of the three-position rifle competition at 50 meters at the Olympic level. At the previous Games in Tokyo, he had been fighting for a medal for a long time, but at the decisive moment he accidentally shot at someone else’s target and ended up in eighth place.
