Netflix has shown the first teaser of the second season of The Squid Game. It will be released on December 26, 2024, and the final season will start in 2025.
Actor Lee Jong-che will return to the series as the main character Song Gi-hoon. Woo Ha Jung will continue to play a young police officer looking for his brother, and Lee Byung Hong will play the host of a deadly game.
The Squid Game has become the most popular Netflix series in the history of the service: in the first 28 days after its premiere in September 2021, it was watched more than 1.65 billion hours.
