At the Munich Security Conference, the German defense company Rheinmetall announced its intention to establish a joint venture for the production of artillery ammunition in Ukraine. The plant plans to produce a significant number of 155-mm artillery shells annually and will also manufacture metal charges.

According to the memorandum, the German arms company Rheinmetall will hold 51% of the joint venture and the Ukrainian partner will hold 49%. Rheinmetall, which is already recognized as one of the largest manufacturers of military equipment and weapons in Europe, is expanding its activities by contributing to the production of ammunition in Ukraine.
