Ukrainian swimmer Vladyslav Bukhov has won historic gold at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar. In the 50-meter freestyle, he showed an incredible time of 21.44 seconds, becoming the first Ukrainian champion in this discipline at the world competition.
Bukhov amazed the world with his endurance and speed, beating the famous Australian Cameron McEvoy by just 0.01 seconds. This victory was historic for Ukraine, which had never won at this distance at the World Championships before.

Bukhov also set a new Ukrainian record in the qualifying round, covering the distance in 21.38 seconds. His achievement surpassed the previous Olympic record set by Andriy Govorov in 2016 (21.46 seconds), making Bukhov’s victory even more remarkable.
