Polish Ministry of Infrastructure is considering building a toll highway Krakowiec-Lviv-Brody-Rivne in Ukraine under concession in response to a proposal by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to the head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk, the financing of a part of the project has been confirmed by international financial institutions. In particular, the road is included in the already-developed plans to restore Ukrainian infrastructure after the war.
Donald Tusk emphasized that Polish companies were offered to implement the project in Ukraine and become concessionaires.
On January 23, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, suggested building a toll highway Krakovets-Lviv-Brody-Rivne. He informed his Polish counterpart, Donald Tusk, that Polish companies could make this highway. The project is seen as a joint success for both countries.
“This highway should become a continuation of the longest Polish highway, A4, which is part of the pan-European E40 corridor,” Shmyhal emphasized.
