Oleksandr Usyk Knocks Out Rico Verhoeven and Defends World Titles

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk defeated Dutchman Rico Verhoeven early and once again defended his heavyweight championship titles. The fight, which has already been called the “battle of two kings,” took place near the pyramids of Giza in Egypt as part of the boxing show The Ring: Glory in Giza.

The fight lasted at a tense pace for almost 11 rounds. At the start, Verhoeven worked more actively, trying to impose a powerful style and constant pressure on the Ukrainian. However, with each round, Usyk more confidently controlled the course of the fight, responding with accurate series and hard uppercuts.
