In Chicago, during official events for Memorial Day, Ukrainian military personnel, together with American veterans, took part in the Soldier Field 10 race: the organizers of the event noted that ten Ukrainian servicemen arrived in the United States to recall the Russian war against Ukraine.
Ukrainian military personnel and veterans regularly participate in Soldier Field 10 as a sign of solidarity between Ukraine and the United States and in memory of the fallen.
The delegation was headed by Major General Volodymyr Gavrylov, director of the Veterans Ten charity foundation, which supports and rehabilitates wounded Ukrainian veterans.
The trip of the Ukrainian military was organized by the Kyiv Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International, Veterans Ten, Vesna!, Revived Soldiers Ukraine, and Ukrainian Running Club Chicago.
