New project to promote Ukrainian movies launched in Warsaw

The Embassy of Ukraine in Poland has announced the launch of Cinema Ukraina, a new project from the Andrzej Wajda Film Culture Center and the Ukraine Film Festival in Warsaw.

It is noted that “Cinema Ukraina!” aims to popularize Ukrainian culture and cinema, integrate Ukrainian and Polish communities, and support Ukrainian cinema.

The initiative will include free film screenings, panel discussions, and master classes with filmmakers.

The events will occur once a month from April to October 2024 at the Andrzej Wajda Film Culture Center in Warsaw.

In addition, a summer cinema screening of films from the history of Ukrainian cinema is planned during the summer vacation. The events will also be broadcast online, and selected films will be available on the vod.warszawa.pl platform.

The official opening and first screenings will occur in Warsaw on April 25, 2024. More information is available here.
