Kyivstar nears indirect entry to the US stock market

Veon Ltd., the parent company of Ukraine’s largest mobile operator, Kyivstar, is nearing completion of its merger with Cohen Circle.

This merger is part of the preparatory process for the company’s indirect IPO (initial public offering) on the US stock market.

After signing the agreement, the company will prepare a prospectus, conduct roadshows (presentations for potential investors), and address key organizational issues. These include choosing the optimal company structure, determining the jurisdiction, conducting asset valuation, searching for investors, and organizing meetings with them.

Kyivstar’s entry into the stock market has been discussed for about three to four years. Initially, the company considered placing its shares on local stock exchanges in Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Ukraine.
