Italy issues medal to support rehabilitation of children affected by war in Ukraine

The Italian State Mint and Printing Institute has issued a bronze medal, “Two Years of Ukrainian Resistance,” designed by students of the School of Medallic Art in Rome.

The bronze medal, which costs 150 euros in total, will be sold, with 65 euros from each sale going to the “Unbreakable Children” rehabilitation center at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv. This center provides physical and psychological support to children injured in the war.

Paolo Perrone, President of the Institute of Printing, explained that their goal is to produce at least 7,800 pieces to raise half a million euros. Starting from February 24, the bronze relic can be purchased in large and small Italian cities at all Poste Italiane branches. The post office management commented that, besides their philanthropic outlets, they have almost 13,000 branches in Italy where you can buy valuable items for a charitable cause in Ukraine.
