Germany to give Ukraine 100 missiles for Patriot system

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has announced the transfer of an additional 100 anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine for the Patriot air defense system. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive them soon.

The minister said this during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Berlin.

Pistorius noted that the interceptor missiles are being provided as part of Germany’s initiative to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system with Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway.

President Zelenskiy said Kyiv expects a positive result on 2-3 air defense systems shortly. He said that work with partners from the United States and Europe is ongoing.

The statements were made in Zanick, Germany, at an anti-aircraft base where he was shown a Patriot air defense system. Ukrainian specialists are being trained at the same base.
