Apple has presented iOS 18 – The main point of the presentation was the new artificial intelligence platform Apple Intelligence. The technology will help to summarize text, create original images, and obtain the most relevant information.
Apple writes about it.
The company claims that the artificial intelligence built into iPhone, iPad, and Mac will help you write, speak, and complete tasks effortlessly. It will rely on personal context and set a “completely new standard for privacy.”
Apple Intelligence supports new writing tools that will allow users to summarize an entire lecture in seconds, get a short version of a long group conversation, and more. The new tools can also correct text and rewrite it in different tones and wording. In addition, they will show priority notifications first, independently determining their content.
At the same time, Apple Intelligence will allow you to create original images and completely new Genmoji. You can turn your sketch into a linked image, search for photos and videos in the gallery by text description, and remove the background in a photo with a single touch.
The Siri assistant has also received new features, making communication with it more natural. The update includes a new design, enhanced speech understanding, the option to enter text into Siri, and knowledge of users’ personal context.
Apple claims that Apple Intelligence is integrated into the core of iPhone, iPad, and Mac using processing on the device. That is, Apple Intelligence will know personal information rather than collect it. Meanwhile, Apple Intelligence Private Cloud Compute will not store data and will be used only for queries.
ChatGPT, an AI-based chatbot, is fully integrated. Siri can connect to ChatGPT for certain requests, but users will decide when to use It.
Apple Intelligence will be free of charge. The new features will be available first in English in the US during the beta version, which will be available in the fall.
