For the first time since 1998, the Ukrainian band Okean Elzy has released a song in English called “Voices Are Rising.” The first track from the band’s English-language album was warmly received by the audience, who were reminded of the world-famous Coldplay.
It premiered on YouTube without a video. The video consisted of lines of the song that changed along with Svyatoslav Vakarchuk’s voice.
In the song, the stars urge people to cry, let their emotions flow, and open their hearts to something good when life’s challenges force them to close in on themselves.
As you know, Okean Elzy has the only English song, Long Time Ago, released in 1998. It first appeared on the album Where We Are Not.
