Masha Yefrosynina was an invited speaker at the largest annual gathering on gender equality and women’s empowerment at the UN Headquarters. The 68th annual meeting of the UN Commission was held from March 11 to 22 in New York.
The theme of this year’s meeting was “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women.” At CSW68, governments, non-governmental organizations, civil society representatives, experts, and activists worldwide came together to agree on actions that can end women’s poverty and promote gender equality.
As part of CSW68, the Commission organized a discussion panel on war crimes, including sexual crimes committed against women and children. Masha Yefrosynina made a presentation on the situation in Ukraine.
