The Ukrainian Institute of America in New York hosted the official opening of the exhibition “War Diaries: Unheard Voices of Ukrainian Children,” which will run until June 7.

The location for the event was not chosen by chance: the exhibition was opened at the Ukrainian Institute of America, an institution that has become a “cultural hallmark” of the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States over the past 70 years.

The event included a screening of a part of a documentary about Mariupol by Vladyslav, the hero of the War Diaries project, who spent 75 days in the occupied city.

The United States became the fifth point on the project’s route map. The exhibition was previously presented in the Netherlands, Ukraine, France, and Germany.

The exhibition will run until June 7 at the following address: 2 East 79th Street, 10075, New York City. Entrance is free.
