Canadian company to build armored vehicle plant in Ukraine

A Canadian armored vehicle manufacturing company, Roshel, plans to build a new plant in Ukraine. Roshel specializes in the production of armored vehicles. One in two of their armored vehicles is sent to the Armed Forces or other law enforcement agencies, and one-third of the workers at the plants are internally displaced persons from Ukraine.

In an interview, CEO Roman Shimonov said the company will build its new plant in Ukraine, invest tens of millions of dollars, and work for the Ukrainian and European markets.

According to him, Ukraine has good infrastructure, cheap electricity, and many educated people, which makes it attractive for investment. The company’s main product is the Senator armored vehicle. The Ukrainian Armed Forces already have 1140 of these vehicles in service.
