Ukrautoprom reports that 73 thousand cars with diesel engines joined the Ukrainian fleet in 2024, 14% less than in the previous year.
It is noted that out of 73 thousand cars, 17.8 thousand are new cars (+28%), and 55.2 thousand are used cars imported from abroad (-22%).
Thus, diesel cars accounted for 25.6% of sales in the new passenger car market, up from 22.8% in 2023. At the same time, the share of diesel cars among imported used passenger cars was 24.8%, compared to 30% a year earlier.
