Construction of Ukraine's first underground school completed in Kharkiv

The building of Ukraine’s first underground school has been completed in Kharkiv. Up to a thousand students will be able to receive education here. The educational space is a bunker built using new construction standards.

The developer’s director, Oleksandr Kharchenko, noted that the school has three sources of electricity, ventilation, and protection, including radiation protection.

The underground school will operate in two shifts. Thus, 900 children will be able to study at their desks. There are junior classes in the morning, and in the afternoon, there are senior classes.

The cost of the underground school is 58.8 million hryvnias.

The city plans to build 3 more such facilities by September 1.
