The Canadian-Ukrainian Surgical Assistance Program (CUSAP) resumed its work in Ukraine this fall for the first time since 2022, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Toronto Branch announced this.
The volunteer surgeons performed 52 reconstructive surgeries and trained Ukrainian medical teams in advanced trauma care.
The CUSAP humanitarian initiative, which provides life-saving assistance to war-affected patients, accomplished significant work in just 12 days.
The Ukrainian Canadian Congress emphasized that this mission was an important milestone in restoring the country’s surgical potential, especially in the face of ongoing full-scale aggression.
