On November 26, at the general audience of Pope Leo XIV in St. Peter’s Square, an incredible event took place. And it will forever remain in the history of the Olympic Dreams project and in the hearts of its athletes.
Pope Leo XIV personally approached the group of Ukrainian athletes participating in the project, warmly greeted them, and expressed his sincere support for Ukraine. The Pontiff blessed the athletes, wished them good health, strength of spirit, and peace for the entire Ukrainian land. He also willingly took a joint photo with the team, a symbolic gesture of support for the young generation that continues to train and dream despite the challenges of war.
The event became an essential part of Ukrainian athletes’ international presence. It confirmed that, even in the most difficult times, sport and the power of dreams can unite people all over the world.

For the fourth year in a row, the Olympic Dreams project has been organizing international sports camps for Ukrainian athletes, creating safe conditions for their training and development. The 30th camp of the project is currently underway in Italy. During this time, Olympic Dreams athletes have won over 1,200 medals at international and Ukrainian tournaments. And in honor of their victories, the National Anthem of Ukraine has been played several times, and the blue-and-yellow flag has been raised.
