Independent American film company Briarcliff Entertainment has acquired the North American distribution rights to the documentary “Ash and Crayons,” by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Yevgeny Afineevsky.
“Ash and Crayons” is a documentary about Ukrainian children whose lives have been changed by Russia’s war against Ukraine. The film will be released in theaters in the United States on November 20, Universal Children’s Day. Afineevsky has been making films about the war in Ukraine for more than a decade, starting in 2015.
