Ukrainian troops took part in NATO’s Baltic Trust 2026 exercise, which took place from August 3 to 14 in Latvia. The main goal of the exercise was to counter drones and other threats associated with unmanned aerial systems. The exercise brought together about 650 participants from 24 countries.
Military personnel, specialists and industry representatives jointly tested new technological solutions in conditions close to the modern operational environment.
The General Staff noted that the focus of Baltic Trust was not on separate technologies, but on their ability to work as a single system. The participants tested how detection means, command-and-control systems, and counter-UAS means can exchange data, form a common operational picture, and ensure a coordinated response.
