The Ukrainian rock band Antytila performed in New York on Tuesday as part of the Culture vs War project and plans to tour other cities in the United States.
The project, launched in April 2022 by the Watch Ukrainian Association, aims to show the realities of the Russian war through the stories of cultural figures who serve in the Ukrainian army or are actively involved in volunteer activities.
Five members of the band, who are serving in the armed forces or volunteering, talked to the audience in a Manhattan venue, showed a film about their war experience, Culture Against War, and performed several hits.
The audience also had the opportunity to see trophies and other exhibits being auctioned to raise funds for the Ukrainian army’s needs.
