The Impressions on Bricks exhibition is taking place in Vienna until March 3 as part of the Mini-TseGlyna 2023 project, initiated in Ukraine after the outbreak of a full-scale conflict. The exhibition features 40 art bricks by 29 artists, each telling a story of “survival, hope, and the unyielding spirit of Ukraine.”
The MiniTseGlyna project was initiated by Olesia Dvorak-Halik, an artist and director of the Kyiv-based contemporary ceramics gallery TseGlynaArt.

The exhibition organizers emphasize the important playful aspect of the word “clay”: the title indicates the material of the works presented at the exhibition, as “clay” is usually a material for making ceramics. Also, “brick” symbolizes a building material, creating associations with strength, construction, and restoration.
The exhibition will run from February 26 to March 3 at the following address: Markhofgasse 19, Markhof Cultural Center. Meetings with artists and an exchange of experience between Ukrainian and Austrian ceramists are also planned as part of the program.
