The Voice of America has created a documentary about the singer Jamala and the war in Ukraine – Jamala: Songs of Freedom”.
The film “Jamala: Songs of Freedom” contains archival videos of the singer filmed on her phone in the first days of the full-scale war and unique footage from Bucha, Irpin, and Kyiv. The journalists accompanied Jamala for several months and recorded her thoughts and the events of the war.
According to the singer, this film can be on par with other documentaries about the war, such as 20 Days in Mariupol and The Long Day.
The world premiere of the film took place on February 24, 2024.
