All-Ukrainian Boxing Tournament 'Kyiv Cup' was held in Kyiv

Recently, the final of the All-Ukrainian boxing tournament “Kyiv Cup” was held in Stereo Plaza in Kyiv, an event hosted in honor of the Klitschko brothers. This tournament traditionally attracts promising athletes from across Ukraine. It serves as a venue for discovering new talent in national boxing. Notable former participants include renowned world-level champions like Vitaliy and Volodymyr Klitschko as well as Oleksandr Usyk.

The finals featured 14 bouts across various weight categories, both men’s and women’s. The tournament’s best boxer was named Andriy Khaletskyi, an International Master of Sport from Ukraine, who has won international tournaments in Ireland and Lithuania, as well as the “King’s Cup” championship in Thailand. Khaletskyi noted the event’s scale and its importance for the development of boxing in the region and the country. The winner received the main prize — a bronze statuette of the Klitschko brothers, weighing over 10 kilograms and symbolizing strength, perseverance, and the legacy of Ukrainian boxing.

Vitaliy Klitschko participated in the award ceremony, emphasizing that boxing builds physical endurance, character, and determination. The event also featured a concert program with performances by artists such as SHUMEI, Anna Maria, Tricky Nicki, AMORE TWINS, DE LUXE, the Narutsky sisters, as well as National Guard serviceman Yurii Malenko and veteran Oleksandr Romenskyi.

The tournament organizers raised over 200,000 UAH in charitable donations to support the ARTAN special unit of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense’s Intelligence Directorate.
