A digital library of unique Ukrainian literature was created in Britain

The Digital Library of the Nottingham Department of the Union of Ukrainians (AUGB Nottingham) has become operational in Great Britain. It provides access to a unique collection of Ukrainian literary, historical, and cultural heritage for users worldwide.

This was reported in the Union of Ukrainians in Great Britain.

The project’s initiators seek to preserve and popularize the Central Library of Nottingham’s foreign book collection. They made it accessible not only to the local diaspora but also to students, historians, and researchers from different countries.

The process of digitizing the collection was divided into three stages. So far, about a third of the library’s physical catalog has been made available online. By the end of the summer of 2026, the base will be replenished with another third of the books, and it is planned to fully complete the download of the entire fund by the end of this year.
