Ukrainian climbers set a European record at a tournament in Poland

Ukrainian athletes Hryhoriy Ilchyshyn and Yaroslav Tkach won bronze medals in the speed relay at the international World Climbing Series tournament in Krakow. Also, during the qualification, the Ukrainian team set a new European record.

At the competitions in Krakow, a four-lane wall was used for the first time in this series of tournaments, and a speed relay was officially held. Before that, the discipline was presented only at the World Games; now it is considered one of the main ones for future starts.

In the qualification, Ukrainian climbers covered the distance in 10.31 seconds. This time was the fourth overall and the best among European teams, setting a European record. In the race for third place, the Ukrainian team overtook the Indonesian team and won bronze medals.
