Ukrainian writer Yekaterina Yegorushkina received the Silver Star of the Swedish Peter Pan Prize for her book My Forced Vacation, translated into Swedish.
The book tells the story of Vera, a girl who moves to the basement of a high-rise building with her parents and younger brother after the outbreak of a full-scale war. There, the family tries to adapt to the new realities.
The writer also said that at the end of the Swedish edition, there is a text in Ukrainian to facilitate the process of joint readings and discussions in schools.
