The Rakuten Viber survey states that 76% of Ukrainians have spent more over the past year. At the same time, 14% of respondents are trying to save money and have reduced spending.
The answers to the question “Have your expenses increased over the past year?” were distributed as follows:
- Yes, I spend more – 76%;
- I spend less, trying to save money – 14%;
- I spend the same as before – 10%.
Viber also found out whether Ukrainians have a habit of planning their expenses. About half of the respondents (49%) plan only significant and/or regular expenses, such as utility bills. Another 27% plan any expenses in advance. At the same time, 15% of respondents see no point in planning.
Answers to the question “Do you have a habit of planning expenses?” were distributed as follows:
- I plan only significant and/or regular expenses, such as utility bills – 49%;
- Yes, I plan my expenses in advance – 27%;
- I do not plan expenses, I do not see the point – 15%;
- I want to plan, but I don’t do it yet – 9%.
Note: research methodology – anonymous online survey, n>39,000. The key age group is 34-45 years old, with more than 50% of respondents under 45.
