According to a poll conducted by the Insa Institute for Public Opinion Research for t-online, almost half of the Germans surveyed no longer want to support Ukraine with weapons and money.
In particular, 46% of Germans want the next federal government to support Ukraine neither with weapons nor with money.
Support with weapons and money is supported by 28% of respondents.
At the same time, 7% of Germans want to help Ukraine only with money, and another 8% only with weapons. 6% are undecided, and 3% said they are indifferent to this issue.
Sociologists also found that 51% of women and 40% of men want to stop supporting Ukraine. In contrast, 35% of men and 22% of women wish to continue sending weapons and money to Ukraine.
The age distribution is also interesting: most Germans aged 18 to 29 (57%) want the next government to stop supporting Ukraine. In the age group over 70, only 28% of respondents do not want to send weapons or money to Ukraine.
Support for Ukraine is also more widespread in western Germany.
