The QS World University Rankings 2024 includes 11 Ukrainian universities. This ranking is considered one of the most influential global rankings.
The QS World University Rankings are based on a global study of world-class universities in terms of their achievements in education and science. It is calculated using the British consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) methodology.
This ranking evaluates universities by several critical criteria, such as:
- reputation in the academic environment;
- citation of scientific publications by representatives of higher education institutions;
- the ratio of teachers to students;
- employment results;
- employers’ attitude to graduates;
- the reputation of graduates among employers;
- links with the international scientific network;
- the relative number of foreign faculty and students;
- sustainability – social and environmental impact, etc.

- V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University – positions 691 – 700;
- National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” – position 731 – 740;
- National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” – position 901 – 950;
- Lviv Polytechnic National University – position 951 – 1000;
- Sumy State University – position 951 – 1000;
- National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy – positions 1001 – 1200;
- Mechnikov Odesa National University – positions 1001 – 1200;
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv – positions 1201 – 1400;
