Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the bronze medal in the 2025 World Championships in high jump. Yulia Levchenko took fifth place.
Two Ukrainians qualified without any failed attempts: Olympic champion Mahuchikh reached the final with her first jump of 1.92 m. At the same time, 2017 World Championships silver medalist Levchenko made three jumps and also cleared the 1.92 m bar on her first attempt.
Mahuchikh and Levchenko’s rivals in the fight for medals were, among others, Olympic medalists from Australia Nicola Olislagers and Eleanor Patterson, as well as Kristina Gonzel and Morgan Lake, who cleared the 2.00 m bar in the 2025 season.
In the final, Yaroslava failed to clear the 2.02 m bar in two attempts and won the “bronze”, sharing it with Topych for the number of attempts.
