Ukrainian athlete and Olympic champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the second stage of the Diamond League season in Shanghai, China, by jumping two meters.
The native of Dnipro, China, achieved a result of 2.00 meters on the first attempt. Three attempts to set the competition record (2.03 meters) failed. For the Olympic champion, this victory was the 21st in her career at the Diamond League stages.
Mahuchikh was ahead of her two main rivals from Australia. Moreover, Ukrainian Yulia Levchenko took fourth place with a personal best of 1.92 meters.
